LINDA GIBBONS' next court appearance, April 7th ~ The Pro-abortion, feminist, JP was blasted by Gibbons' supporter, Mary Burnie

Linda Gibbons appeared in court today, before five supporters (one being a reporter from Lifesitenews) in a city of well over 5,000,000. Toronto's population allegedly includes approximately 63% "Christians". No clergy were amongst Linda's supporters.

Prior to Linda's appearance, the Justice of the Peace, the pro-abortion Rhonda Roffey,  impertinently commented: "I see Miss Gibson's [sic] Fan Club is here". So agitated was this feminist, (lauded by the communist "Rabble" as a "pro-choice activist")  that she could not even get Linda Gibbons' surname correct. After a couple of delays, due to Linda's legal representative having a prior commitment, her hearing began just after 12 p.m. Linda appeared, in handcuffs, as we all arose. Handcuffs removed, Rhonda Roffey jealously asked Linda's "fan club" to "sit down"!

Linda remained silent in solidarity with the silence of those who are being slaughtered in the womb. She privately indicated, when approached by her legal representative, that she preferred her subsequent hearings to be via video.

Linda's next hearing will be this coming Tuesday, April 7th at 9 a.m. in Room 505 (via video). It is hoped that charges will be dropped, as happened last November 12th, 2014.

I made a sign of prayer towards Linda, as she was led away in handcuffs. We then arose to leave to hear the voice of the Justice of the Peace again angrily call out: "sit down, sit down!". She was given a powerful and forceful counter blast by Mrs. Mary Burnie, a longtime supporter of Linda's:  "I am standing up because I'm leaving!" We left the courthouse, outraged by this feminist's arrogance.

I for one, take it as a badge of honour to be a member of "Miss Gibson's Fan Club".

Please pray for Linda, who is in prison for incarnating Christ's love for the unborn.

LINDA GIBBONS IN COURT: Tomorrow TUESDAY MARCH 31st ~ at the College Park Court in Toronto

"To be complacent towards abortion, as a Christian, is to portray Christ as not concerned with the issue. It's scandalous".
Linda Gibbons

Linda Gibbons, Canada's Archangel for Life", as readers will know, was arrested last Tuesday, March 24th, on the Vigil of the Annunciation, for
incarnating Christ's love for the unborn. Adhering to the Gospel truth, that evil and lies have no rights, Linda acted in accordance with the true rights of God in defense of innocent human life. For her testimony, for her witness to the truth - like Our Blessed Saviour, before her - she was arrested and cast into prison. Linda now resides at the Vanier Centre for Women along with Mary Wagner, whose trial will be this coming April 16th.

Youth protesting for Life and Justice in Brussels,
March 30th, 2015
Linda, along with Mary, except with one outstanding exception, Dorothy Cummings McLean, has been met with a deafening silence from the official Catholic media (at best). But this is to be expected from "cozy Catholicism", from a go-along-to-get-along mentality by powerful churchmen who have compromised with Caesar. When was the last time you heard a Prelate tell a pro-abortion politician that they are in the objective state of mortal sin, and cannot receive Holy Communion? If only we had a few good Bishop John Fishers!

Tomorrow morning, at the College Park Court, 2nd Floor (444 Yonge; south-west corner of Yonge and College) at 10 a.m. Linda will make a court appearance. When you check in, you will be able to obtain from information  the Room in which the hearing will be held. Please, during this Holy Week make every effort to attend. Either we stand for life or we do not.

BREAKING: "MARCH FOR LIFE" in Brussels, Belgium, brings out support for Linda Gibbons and Mary Wagner

Przemyslaw Sycz, has just written to me that there was a small, but determined "March for Life", today in Brussels on a rainy, cold day. A further protest will be held outside the European Parliament, tomorrow. Both he and Jacek Kotula travelled from south-east Poland with other pro-life activists from their country. Readers will know that both gentlemen were instrumental in organizing and assisting Mary Wagner during her Gospel of Life pilgrimage to Poland, last October.

The following photos are courtesy of Stop-Aborcji.

More photos of the protest can be viewed at the Facebook Page of  "STOP-Aborcji".

BREAKING: Bishop Luc Ravel to be "punished" by French Ministry of Defense for denouncing abortion as "a weapon of mass destruction"

His Excellency, Bishop Luc Ravel, a Catholic bishops in the French Military Ordinariate is to be "punished" by the French Ministry of Defense, for his writings. He has also been told to cease using any emblems identifying himself with the army. The bishop apparently in his words and actions, contradicts "republican values". No doubt, as a good Catholic he does. But then, so did the thousands who were slaughtered by the Revolution...

The bishop wrote:

"...Christians feel shackled between two ideologies. On the one hand an ideology that is a caricature of God, which has contempt for man. On the other hand, an ideology that manipulates man, despising God. On the one hand, we have those who are declared and known: the terrorists of the bomb, the Prophet's avengers. On the other hand, we have terrorists of thought, the proponents of secularism, the admirers of the Republic. In what camp is a Christian to find himself"?

"We do not want to be held hostage by Islamists, but we also do not want to be slaves of correct thought. Islamic ideology has led to 17 victims in France, but the ideology of thinking correctly [political correctness] creates annually two hundred thousand victims in the womb of the mother. Abortion has become a fundamental right and a weapon of mass destruction "

BREAKING: Polish Bishops' Conference issue Communique: "...we cannot accept the recent emerging solutions that strike at the family and life"

The following is an exclusive Toronto Catholic Witness translation of the official Communique issued in the name of the Polish Bishops' Conference

The 25th of March - The Day for Sanctity of Life

The Council for the Family, of the Polish Bishops' Conference on the Annunciation, as we celebrate the Day for Sanctity of Life, makes an urgent appeal for the intention of celebrating this day in churches and with ones families.

Today we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the St. John Paul II's encyclical Evangelium Vitae. The Holy Father writes in it: It is therefore a service of love which we are all committed to ensure to our neighbour, that his or her life may be always defended and promoted, especially when it is weak or threatened. It is not only a personal but a social concern which we must all foster: a concern to make unconditional respect for human life the foundation of a renewed society. (Evangelium Vitae R. IV, 77)

The Day for Sanctity of Life in Poland was established by the Bishops in 1998 as a response to the call of St. John Paul II and is celebrated on the feast of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, that is, nine months before Christmas.

This Feast should encourage us to reflect on the great gifts with which we have been given: life and the family that is the most important environment for every human being.

Now that the family values and conceived human life are brutally attacked, the Sanctity of Life Day is a special moment for the mobilization in defense of these core values. We can not remain indifferent to the attempts to deprive the constitutional right of parents to educate their children according to their beliefs. Our task is to take up the concerns of all generations - the youngest, and the oldest.

Our duty is also to strongly oppose anti-Christian culture, that negates the right to life from conception to natural death, and undermines the importance of marriage and family. We can not accept the recent emerging solutions, that strike at the family and life, as well as at children and youth. Amongst other things: the introduction of the free sale of abortifacients, that are also harmful to the women's health, the "morning after" pill; the proposal to adopt a law on in vitro fertilization that is not respectful of the lives of children conceived and, above all, the attempt to bring into Polish social life a program of cultural and civilizational changes based on gender ideology, being forcefully imposed by the CAHVIO Convention.

May the Day for the Sanctity of Life be above all a national day of mobilization to pray for unborn children and their families, and to make a spiritual adoption of a conceived child",

On behalf of the Council for the Family, Polish Bishops' Conference,

St Teresa of Jesus is a true teacher of Christian life for the faithful of every time
Pope Benedict XVI

Holy Mother Teresa

Let nothing disturb you.Nada te turbe.
Let nothing terrify you.Nada te espante.
All things pass away.Todo se pasa.
God is unchangeable.Dios no se muda.
Patience gains everything.La paciencia todo lo alcanza.
He who adheres to God wants nothing.Quien à Dios tiene nada le falte.
God alone is sufficient.Solo Dios basta.

St. Teresa of Jesus, "Holy Mother Teresa", as she is known amongst Carmelites, was a master of the spiritual life. Her wisdom is needed even more today, in a world that is deeply spiritually sick. If you can find the time, please put aside a "Holy Hour" to pray to St. Teresa for interior peace.

Pope Benedict XVI said of our beloved saint Teresa:

It is far from easy to sum up in a few words Teresa’s profound and articulate spirituality. I would like to mention a few essential points. In the first place St Teresa proposes the evangelical virtues as the basis of all Christian and human life and in particular, detachment from possessions, that is, evangelical poverty, and this concerns all of us; love for one another as an essential element of community and social life; humility as love for the truth; determination as a fruit of Christian daring; theological hope, which she describes as the thirst for living water. Then we should not forget the human virtues: affability, truthfulness, modesty, courtesy, cheerfulness, culture...

Prayer is life and develops gradually, in pace with the growth of Christian life: it begins with vocal prayer, passes through interiorization by means of meditation and recollection, until it attains the union of love with Christ and with the Holy Trinity. Obviously, in the development of prayer climbing to the highest steps does not mean abandoning the previous type of prayer. Rather, it is a gradual deepening of the relationship with God that envelops the whole of life.

Here are a few of her maxims, that, if we lived them even furtively, we would be well on the way to salvation. Sancta Teresa ora pro nobis.

Among many persons, always speak little.

Conduct yourself modestly in all you do or say.

Speak to every one with a well-regulated cheerfulness.

Accommodate yourselves to the temper of those you converse with; with the joyful be glad, and with the sorrowful sad: in a word, become all to all, that so you may gain all.

Never offer to give your opinion on all matters, except it be asked, or charity require it.

Take no notice of the defects of others, but only of their virtues: mind your own defects.

Be gentle to all, and to yourself severe.

Though you may have many Saints for your advocates, yet choose particularly St. Joseph, for he is very powerful with God.

Let your desire be to see God; your fear lest you lose Him; your grief that you do not enjoy Him; your joy at that which may bring you to Him; and thus you will live in great peace.

Christopher West: Theology of the Body distorter claims that the most pure St. Joseph had "erotic desires of youth"!

"...between Joseph and God we do not see, and we can not see, anyone except Mary with her divine motherhood"
Pope Pius XI

"That he was always exempt from the inclinations of concupiscence-----a privilege with which St. Joseph by the merit of his purity, favors his devout clients by delivering them from carnal appetites".
St. Alphonsus de Liguori

St. Joseph, most chaste and ever-virginal
Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The Church, and by extension, humanity is under severe demonic attack. When attacks comes from Catholics, especially confused Catholics, the danger is very grave. When it comes from those who claim some sort of "apostolate", this danger becomes critical. For a Catholic having an apostolate, and for that same apostolate to be in error; spiritual poison can easily by poured into men's souls.

So it is with Christopher West's strange interpretation of the Theology of the Body that is founded and developed from  "MiÅ‚ość i Odpowiedzialność (Love and Responsibility) written by Karol WojtyÅ‚a, the man who would eventually become St. Pope John Paul II. It is a travesty that the holy Pope's doctrine is continually distorted in this manner.

It was not a few years ago that theologian, Alice von Hildebrand rightly critiqued the erroneous theories on sexuality by West, put forward with great vulgarity and a disregard of original sin and the need to treat human sexuality with “a humility, a spirit of reverence, and totally avoiding the vulgarity that he uses in his language.” Further, she stated: “I’m shocked and horrified by the words that he uses. His mere mention of Hugh Hefner is to my mind an abomination.”

Catholics were rightly outraged when the Holy Family was called "irregular". Catholics should be equally outraged when West claims the following:

"In a little known address given on September 21, 1996, Pope John Paul II spoke about the difficulty for many of accepting “the sublime mystery” of Joseph and Mary’s spousal communion. How could a man with the erotic desires of youth have honored Mary’s vow of perpetual virginity"?

Now what did our sainted Pope actually say (and the date, incidentally was actually August)? Here are his words

"...the Holy Spirit, who had inspired Mary to choose virginity in view of the mystery of the Incarnation and who wanted the latter to come about in a family setting suited to the Child's growth, was quite able to instill in Joseph the ideal of virginity as well....

"It is instead a case of supposing that he was not an elderly man at the time, but that his interior perfection, the fruit of grace, led him to live his spousal relationship with Mary with virginal affection".

West further claims that: "St. Joseph was not an old man with no libido".

All of this is blasphemy. How dare this man profane the Holy Family in this manner! From eternity God had chosen the Blessed Virgin Mary for her sublime mission; and part of this mission would include the most "just" of men, the ever-virginal, most chaste, St. Joseph. The greater the mission, the greater the graces. The Church has always and everywhere taught that St. Joseph was pure and chaste (even the art emphasizes it with the presence of a lily). His and the Blessed Virgin Mary's communion was based on virginal love. To claim that St. Joseph had "erotic desires" is scandalous and grossly impious. Upon whom does West have in mind as the object of these "erotic desires"? I shall not speculate; may the reader consider the options.

Let us keep in mind however the words of Our Lord: "But I say to you whosoever shall look on a woman to lust after her, hath already committed adultery with her in his heart" ( Mt 5:28); (CCC, 2528).  Further from the  Catechism of the Catholic Church: 2514:  "the ninth commandment forbids carnal concupiscence..."; 2517: "out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, fornication..."  (c.f. 2529).  Erotic desires are lustful, sinful: West is claiming that the most chaste Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary was a sinner! What an insult to Almighty God that He would chose such a man to profane the Holy Mother of God. Once again, I say: blasphemy!

Pope Leo XIII, wrote these majestic words about the ever chaste St. Joseph:

But as Joseph has been united to the Blessed Virgin by the ties of marriage, it may not be doubted that he approached nearer than any to the eminent dignity by which the Mother of God surpasses so nobly all created natures...virgins at the same time find in him the model and protector of virginal integrity. (Quamquam Pluries). .

But there is a further point. West,  is claiming that "erotic desires" are normal (after all if the "just" man, the most chaste St. Joseph indulges in carnal sin -- is it even sin anymore in the eyes of West?). Is West trying to normalize, excuse lust by enmeshing it - impossibly - with the purity of spousal love within holy matrimony? This is like trying to have dry water; it is impossible. The fact is, purity comes from virtue and God's grace, and not from age. He is trying to claim that every male-female relationship must have a carnal, sexual component separated from the spiritual. This is an absolutely false and pernicious error. In fact, this proposition is part of "Gender Theory".

And it goes even further. Ultimately, West is claiming that unless one is Immaculately Conceived, one cannot live a pure and chaste life. Yet, he is contradicted by the innumerable people who live celibate, consecrated lives, and do so with the ordinary graces that God avails them. He is also contradicted by the innumerable wedded spouses that live chaste sexual Purity, chastity, virginity is possible, is real (more real than the marital act) and is lived by those who love God and His virginal Mother above all.

"In protecting and defending Mary's honor and virtue, he proved himself to be more and more worthy of her love. It is often said that true love must be built on sacrifice and a spirit of unselfishness. Never was this realized as well as in the case of Mary and Joseph. Consequently, their love and affection was more chaste and more pure and more human even if virginal, and precisely because it was virginal it was the more sublime! It is the greatest example to the world that love between a man and a woman built on the love of God, and concerned primarily about the laws of God, is the most enobling and the most rewarding type of love. It is the highest, truest, deepest understanding of the word love". (source).

BREAKING: Linda Gibbons remanded in custody, and transfered to Vanier Centre for Women

Among all the crimes which can be committed against life, procured abortion has characteristics making it particularly serious and deplorable. The Second Vatican Council defines abortion, together with infanticide, as an "unspeakable crime"
Pope John Paul II, Evangelium Vitae

Linda Gibbons, Canada's Archangel for Life, arrested yesterday outside the east-end Morgantaler abortuary, has been remanded in custody and will appear in Court on Tuesday morning, March 31st, at the College Park Courthouse, 444 Yonge St. 2nd floor.

For two and a half hours Linda witnessed for Life, incarnating Christ's love for unborn babies before an uncaring and blind Canadian nation, which is drowning in a cesspool of death. Eventually she was arrested after gently and lovingly walking to and fro outside the baby-killing horror house, carrying her sign: "Why Mom, when I have so much love to give"?

This powerful question remains unanswered.

Let us, dear friends, answer this abominable evil with the love of Christ. I once again invite you to join our "Easter Rosary Bouquet for Linda Gibbons and Mary Wagner..." Please visit our Facebook page; seriously and prayerfully consider offering a Rosary for our Angels for Life. To pledge your Rosary, simply "LIKE", and you will be counted.

The pretext for Linda's arrest was her "violation" of the non-juridical "bubble zone law", a caricature of true law. Pope John XXIII, referenced by John Paul II, wrote in Pacem in Terris"Authority is a postulate of the moral order and derives from God. Consequently, laws and decrees enacted in contravention of the moral order, and hence of the divine will, can have no binding force in conscience...; indeed, the passing of such laws undermines the very nature of authority and results in shameful abuse".

The "bubble zone law" is thus the most shameful abuse imaginable in that it violates the moral order to the highest degree: the facilitation of the murder of the innocent.

On the 20th Anniversary of Pope John Paul II's Evangelium Vitae, Canada's two Angels for Life ~ Linda Gibbons and Mary Wagner ~ are in prison

In the Annunciation to the Virgin, she welcomes the announcement of her divine motherhood. In the "yes" that she proclaims, culminates the "yes" of every mother to the life of her child.

Pope John Paul II, Angelus, March 26, 1995

Twenty years ago, our now sainted Pope John Paul II issued the encyclical, Evangelium Vitae. It it, he reaffirmed the infallible teaching that procured abortion, is an intrinsic evil. In fact, so evil is abortion, that it is condemned by Sacred Scripture as the first of the Four Sins that "cry to Heaven for vengeance". Willful murder of the innocent; the shedding of innocent blood, is regarded by God as the most abominable of crimes.

Yesterday, we witnessed the arrest of Linda Gibbons for most peacefully, and in total silence opposing the horror of abortion. For this, Linda was arrested. Last December 23rd, 2014, likewise Mary Wagner, for peacefully offering mothers an alternative to abortion, was arrested and awaits trial this coming April 16th. How is this possible? How did our society end up with such a perverted view of "freedom" and "rights"? The alleged "freedom" to murder, the "right" to do so, unhindered, even protected by "law"?

Pope John Paul explored this in his encyclical:

19....freedom negates and destroys itself, and becomes a factor leading to the destruction of others, when it no longer recognizes and respects its essential link with the truth. When freedom, out of a desire to emancipate itself [from]... objective and universal truth, which is the foundation of personal and social life, then the person ends up by no longer taking as the sole and indisputable point of reference for his own choices the truth about good and evil, but only his subjective and changeable opinion or, indeed, his selfish interest and whim.

20. This view of freedom leads to a serious distortion of life in society. If the promotion of the self is understood in terms of absolute autonomy, people inevitably reach the point of rejecting one another. Everyone else is considered an enemy from whom one has to defend oneself.

And so, the unborn child in the womb is made out to be "an enemy", to be killed. This is the result of a reduction of good and evil to personal whim. It leads straight to a "culture" of death. The person is reduced to an object, an "enemy" to be destroyed at "whim". At the beginning of life, at the end - it does not matter to the moral relativist; life is "an enemy" to destroy.

The holy Pope develops the ramifications of this selfish subjectivist rejection of universal truth as manifested by the State:

20...the sinister result of a relativism which reigns unopposed... democracy, contradicting its own principles, effectively moves towards a form of totalitarianism. The State...is transformed into a tyrant State, which arrogates to itself the right to dispose of the life of the weakest and most defenceless members, from the unborn child to the elderly... what we have here is only the tragic caricature of legality; the democratic ideal, which is only truly such when it acknowledges and safeguards the dignity of every human person, is betrayed in its very foundations: "How is it still possible to speak of the dignity of every human person when the killing of the weakest and most innocent is permitted? In the name of what justice is the most unjust of discriminations practised: some individuals are held to be deserving of defence and others are denied that dignity?" When this happens, the process leading to the breakdown of a genuinely human co-existence and the disintegration of the State itself has already begun.

To claim the right to abortion, infanticide and euthanasia, and to recognize that right in law, means to attribute to human freedom a perverse and evil significance: that of an absolute power over others and against others. This is the death of true freedom: "Truly, truly, I say to you, every one who commits sin is a slave to sin" (Jn 8:34).

Thus we now know why our two Angels for life dwell in prison. They oppose the tyrant State. They are asking, through their presence at the abortion mills, the Pope's very question:... how is it possible...?

There is no real answer, the truthful answer. How could there be? Our Angels for Life are also considered "an enemy", to be shunned, locked up, derived, despised. But they are in good company. Our Blessed Lord too, for the Truth, was likewise shunned, despised, hated.... even unto the Cross.

Please pray for Linda and Mary, who have incarnated Christ's love for the babies. We ask you to join us in pledging a Rosary for them and their intentions. It is not enough to claim to be against abortion, and evil but not pray. Ora et labora. Prayer is the centre of the Christian life. Praying for someone is the greatest act of love. I will go further: a Christian who will not pray for these Angels for Life may carry the name "Christian", but is not a "sincere Christian".

Please visit Easter Rosary Bouquet to pledge your gift of a Rosary for Linda and Mary.

BREAKING NEWS: Linda Gibbons arrested this morning outside the Morgentaler abortion "clinic" in east Toronto

Linda Gibbons was arrested this cold Tuesday morning, March 24th, 2015, outside the private (but taxpayer funded) Morgentaler "Hillsdale" abortion mill in the east-end of Toronto. Linda began her witness to Our Lord and His Truth at nine a.m., quietly walking to and fro, outside the mill, silently carrying her sign, "Why Mom, when I have so much love to give?".

Our "Archangel for Life" continued to walk backwards and forwards in prayerful silence, being watched by a security guard. A female employee of the abortuary monitored the situation, going in and out of the building. The Sheriff appeared to read Linda  the "violation" of the two decade old "bubble zone law". Shortly after 11 a.m., two police cruisers (from 53 Division), appeared with a Sheriff. Once again the "violation" of the "bubble zone" law was read. Subsequently, Linda had her sign confiscated and placed in the trunk of a cruiser. A few minutes later, she was escorted to the back seat of the same car, arrested by Toronto police, who's motto, "to serve and protect", was in evidence this sad morning, being rigorously applied to ensure that the bloody business of abortion would go on without any opposition, even if such opposition is manifested only by a most gentle and loving woman, carrying in silence a sign with the unanswerable "Why Mom..." being seen by tragic women entering the abortuary to kill their  very own children. The cruisers left the scene of the real crimes just after 11:30 a.m. There were eight of us who witnessed this beautiful, saintly woman "incarnating" Christ's love for the babies.

Such is the reality of the culture of death, in decadent Canada on the eve of the 20th anniversary of the publication of Pope John Paul II's, encyclical, Evangelium Vitae.

I ask all readers to join in praying for Linda.

We have begun an "Easter Rosary Bouquet" for Linda Gibbons and Mary Wagner. Do you support them? Do you love them? Then you will surely pray for them. To pledge a Rosary please visit here on Facebook.

I would also encourage you to re-watch and meditate upon Fr. Paul Nicholson's video, following the arrest of Mary Wagner. Every word of this video is as much for Linda as for Mary. This witness of Linda's is indeed a "profound rebuke" of the pro-life movement... and to "awaken the guilty conscience of a nation..."

Mary Wagner: Three months ago she was arrested this very day...

It was on December, 23rd, 2014, that Mary Wagner, a humble handmaiden of Our Lord and our dear sister, was arrested at a Toronto abortuary for witnessing for life, for "incarnating" Our Blessed Saviour's love for the faceless, for the voiceless...for the babies. Please pray for Mary and the unborn.

no hands but yours,
no feet but yours,
Yours are the eyes through which to look out

Yours are the hands with which he is to bless men now.”

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Linda Gibbons speaks with Toronto Catholic Witness

"I lift up my eyes, to you who sit enthroned in heaven..."
Psalm 123 "A Song of Ascent"

Linda Gibbons, with dear friends
This interview with Linda Gibbons, took place the week of March 16th. I thank Linda deeply for her graciousness in taking the time to answer these questions, which, I hope, will lead readers into a deeper appreciation of Linda's Christian witness for those who have no voice, no face: the forgotten unborn, the babies.

This week, we celebrate the 20th anniversary of St. Pope John Paul II's great encyclical, Evangelium Vitae (The Gospel of Life), a prophetic work, even more relevant today when we are are surrounded by an ever expanding "culture" that promotes and glorifies death. Please pray for Linda Gibbons.

Question: May I preface this question by way of explanation: I believe we need to be “Gospel of Life”, and not just “pro-life”; that is, our primary focus should be on Jesus Christ when dealing with abortion. As the Gospel says: “seek ye therefore first the kingdom of God, and his justice, and all these things shall be added unto you: (Mt. 6:33). How can prayer help bring an end to abortion?

Linda Gibbons: The scripture that comes to mind is "the fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 5:16). Our whole life should be a prayer that God's will be done and His will is that not one of the little ones should perish; to this end we offer up ourselves - a sweet incense of prayer.

Q: Has the "pro-life" movement become too political and lost touch, or is in danger of losing touch with relying on the power of the Gospel?

Linda: We fight against powers and principalities. Scripture says the earth is full of the habitations of cruelty, a foe much greater than human powers can challenge. It will be fought not by power (political), nor by might (organizational), but by God's spirit alone. Without God we can do nothing. If it is of God, let him be the measure: "what He wills, when He wills, as He wills (the 'martyr's prayer'). Half-measures are not the measure of God. ("If so, why should we not do evil, that good may come of it"? St. Paul, Romans, 3:8).

Q: Why do you think that you and Mary Wagner are so misunderstood; even by some who are “pro-life”?

Linda: I understand God's will is always life, and people should see that as a principle issue that does not brook any competition; it stands alone. Once the life issue becomes subordinate to some other purpose or goal we have lost our focus. No issue can compete against life.

This question suggests Mary and I are desiring to be understood. They choose to misunderstand us. You have to ask , why? Here is a saying: 'to those who get it no explanation is required, to those who don't get it, no explanation is possible'. We appreciate like minded souls who join arms in the witness at the [abortion] mills, but we are not looking over our shoulder to see who is not there.

Q: The vast majority of those who profess they are Christians have turned a blind eye to the horror of abortion? How do you think this came about?

Linda: Psalm 123 talks of our eyes being attentive to the Master's wishes. To be complacent towards abortion, as a Christian, is to portray Christ as not concerned with the issue. It's scandalous.

Q: What can we do to reverse this?

Linda: We need to line up our actions with our theology. As James says to wish them well and do nothing to deliver them is hypocrisy (c.f. James 2:16). If we wish them life, we need to put some concrete effort in ensuring they get it.

Q: I know you have a deep and close relationship with Our Lord. Can you share how you prepare yourself before you will give witness to the truth abut abortion, leading to your arrest?

Linda: The Bible says we can do nothing against the truth but for the truth. Abortion is a lie, our presence is to let truth be seen in love. I go asking God to use me for His love's sake. In prayer, interceding for the moms and babies, abortionists, staff and others (the public).

Q: Obviously, by the grace of God, you are a light of truth in jail. Can you share with us how your being in jail has helped a young, confused and frightened woman to either not have an abortion, or repent and seek reconciliation with God?

Linda: It helps to tell women who have had an abortion that God forgives and they can tell God they love their baby, miss their baby. Then they can give their baby a name. A woman considering an abortion needs to be 'loved to life'. Love finds a way.

Q: The Psalms in the Bible run the whole panorama of human experience; they are also referred to as the church “praying”. I know you love the Psalms. Can you tell us why they touch you so deeply?

Linda: What I so appreciate about the Psalms and the prophets as well, is the reflections that reveal in almost intimate (knowing) converse about active faith, telling us about Him and the Lord showing us ourselves - always challenging us.

Q: Do they help you in your fight against abortion?

Linda: Psalms are for those who know His name and have set their love upon Him. David is called the sweet Psalmist. Isn't it rather his expressions that God fills with His; sweeter than a honeycomb? It's relational: us dwelling on the Psalms and the Psalms filling us.

Q: Is there a passage of Scripture that you would like to share with us that has helped you in life and in your fight for the Gospel of Life?

Linda: In the Psalms its written, "my soul wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from Him (Ps, 62:5). This Scripture is my 'walk and wait' verse.  It got me through five years of caregiving of my father with Alzheimer's and it continues to be a verse that steadies my course.

Q: Thank-you.
